Tuition Scholarships

Small Faces is introducing a pilot scholarship program for our preschool classes. A limited number of financial assistance scholarships are available.  These scholarships are available thanks to the generous donations by our community members. All scholarships are for partial assistance based on a sliding scale, for a single academic year (September – June). Summer and Before/After school programs are not included at this time. Recipients must reapply for subsequent academic years.

Scholarship Eligibility

Scholarships will be awarded to those families for whom payment of preschool tuition would be a financial hardship. Applicants will be ranked in an anonymous process based on family size and income, the applications received, and available scholarship funds. Applicants must provide supporting documentation and a completed Scholarship Application. Small Faces will use the 2018 Federal Poverty Level and multipliers as a guide.

Scholarship recipients are responsible for remainder of the tuition, and must attend 85% of enrolled days.

Families are eligible for only one type of financial aid, including subsidies, scholarships, sibling discounts and staff discounts.

Application Process

Applications are available from the office, or can be downloaded here. Applications should be submitted by mail or can be hand delivered to the Small Faces office.

New requests will be reviewed monthly as long as funds are available.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

Scholarship Fund

The Small Faces Child Development Center Scholarship Program is being piloted for the 2018-2019 school year. The annual Fundraiser Auction “Raise the Paddle” is one of our primary fundraising events for the scholarship fund. We hope to continue and expand the scholarship program in future years, to support our mission, including honoring economic diversity in our school, and reduce the costs of early learning for low income families.

Individuals may also support the Small Faces Scholarship Fund with individual and corporate donations at any time. Please contact us to discuss your charitable gift.
